2023 Placentia Mustangs Player / Parent Contract

1.) Program Fee's: (New fee's starting Jan 1st, 2023)
Game fee's are $15.00 per game given to the team manager before each game. This covers field fee's and umpire costs. (Tournament fee's are separate.) Each Mustangs team may handle this fee differently. Monthly dues are $195.00. New Player start up fee of $180.00 with first months dues is included should be paid at start of joining the program. Uniform set up is included in the start up fee. Dues are due on the first of each month.

Teams cover their game fee's, tournament fee's and any extra cost that teams wants to do. This allows teams the freedom to play as often and as many tournaments as they wish. Each Manager may choose any special fee's needed for his team. Team manager selects monthly team costs and collects it for his teams expenses. Some tournaments like the USA Baseball tournament in Arizona, California Travel Ball Showcase and Cooperstown NY are run by the Mustangs program and not the individual teams. (For the protection of the player and program.)

2 .) Players must purchase their own Placentia Mustangs uniform items. Mustangs New Era Hat, Mustangs Easton Game Jerseys and Mustangs practice shirt. (Comes in player start up package)

3.) Batting helmet should have Mustangs logo and be of team Navy Blue colors. Sox and belts also should be Navy Blue. Mustangs hats are New Era Pro Model and are $35.00 each. Teams are allowed to make there own separate jerseys and shirts, but are not allowed to do any changes or adaptations of our hat. All teams must use our official Mustangs hat.

4.) The Placentia Mustangs are sponsored by Easton Sports and Adidas Baseball. Players must always wear our Mustangs shirt to all practices. (Or any Mustangs t-shirt we supply.)

5.) Players and families are expected to help promote our very few program fundraisers and special events. Placentia Mustangs are a family that works together to benefit our entire program. Ask not what the Placentia Mustangs can do for you, but what you can do for the Placentia Mustangs!

6.) All parents are expected to help with set up and take down of field for games and practices. We really need the help of everyone, and not just a select few. Our goal is to promote a team family atmosphere, and not a pay to play academy style. We strive for a no stress environment, if your not happen, it is better to move to another program and be happy rather than try to change our program.

7.) Players and Parents must always show good sportsmanship. Only coaches can talk to umpires. (No moaning from the stands!) Poor language or sportsmanship from player or parent will hurt playing time or removal from the program.

8.) Playing time and positions played is solely the manager's decision in tournaments and league games.

9.) Personal parent / player or parent / coaching staff contact during game time is strictly prohibited and not appreciated in any way. Any negative comments during team functions and games from any family member may hurt players playing time. Please keep all comments from the stands during games in a positive manner.

10.) All players and parents should know tampering rules and the common courtesies of competitive team recruiting policies.

11.) All players must let the team manager know well in advance if they cannot attend a Placentia Mustangs function. Our policy is that we play a lot of games, if you have something important to do, do it. Just let the team know. All players need to be listed on our website under there Mustangs team page. Each family should have a current email contact address on our programs e-mail list. Each team will communicate to families via the GroupMe app. Players not listed on our website are not covered on our team insurance and thus not allowed to participate in games or Mustangs events.

12.) All players must SPRINT to his position.

13.) All players must wear baseball pants to practice and games. (No shorts at practice unless noted by team manager in advance.)

14.) Players must wear the Placentia Mustangs hat with the logo facing to the front of their face. League president or past members will take any hat facing the wrong way and let the Player buy a new hat. We do not allow different style Placentia Mustangs Hats. Same hat for 30 years and we do not want anything else, no matter how cool you feel it will be.

15.) Placentia Mustangs Logo, Uniforms, Equipment, Policy, Property or anything associated with the Placentia Mustangs is the property of the "Placentia Youth Baseball" organization. The use of any Mustangs property for use other than granted by the league president is strictly prohibited. Any money associated in any way with the Placentia Mustangs must go through the "Placentia Youth Baseball" account. (I.E. sponsorships, donations, anything related to a certain team, ect.) Teams are allowed to handle their own money for team related events.
